ABOUT US AND HISTORY OF ABEL BUELL BED & BREAKFAST

Long-time owners Don and Cathy Wagner present two rooms in the original 1760’s part of the house, one queen and one twin with shared bath. A cosy fireplace in winter and a breezy deck in summer grace the downstairs gathering room.

HISTORY

When it was called Kenilworth, Clinton was the home of the founder of Yale College, Abraham Pierson, who held the first classes in town.

Important historic houses on the Boston Post Road are open to the public. The home is only a six-minute drive to the famous discount mall, Clinton Crossings, or the town beach, ten minutes to Hammonasset State Beach, and a half-hour drive to major casinos with their games of chance and headliner entertainments. Lemonade on the deck or hot cocoa by the fire will bring your day of touring to a close. A ten-minute

walk north to downtown or south to the town harbor takes you through lovely neighborhoods along two rivers towards numerous marinas.
